VOLUNTEERS

Family Ambassadors

We plan to recruit volunteers in each community who can help to build the support system to reach, engage and support families. We call these volunteers Family Ambassadors.

The key to success requires us to build a community system to engage and support families. The current educational system is failing four out of five of our students. More of the same is not working. We have to build a community or village model that established a new order, a new expectation among the community.

The following document outlines the role of each Family Ambassador.
Family Ambassador Summary

Orientation/training
Family Ambassadors will need to go through a short training to understand the program and learn how to register and monitor students.
It should only take 2-3 hours to gain the knowledge needed to begin working with students.
All work is done remotely.
Ambassadors can review the websites and materials on their own time.
A Zoom meeting with a trainer will complete the training.
Ideally, we will train one person in each chapter who will in turn train the Family Ambassadors for that chapter.

Summary of the information a Family Ambassador will learn.

Memorandum of Understanding and Confidentiality Agreement
We have created a short memorandum Family Ambassadors need to review and sign.
The purpose is to ensure each Family Ambassadors understand their role, its limitations, and the importance of treating any family or student data with confidentiality.
