The primary purpose of a chapter in a community or area is to coordinate BYSM programs to help youth in that community. Each Chapter can also partner with other local programs to help their Youth members. Activities would include:
Recruit families and ensure students complete the programs
Manage social media for the local chapter
Raise funds to support local operations
Chapter Requirements:
Each chapter ideally will create or partner with an existing organization that has a 501c3 designation.
A Chapter Organizer (CO) can initially be an individual who can demonstrate they have the capacity to build the Chapter.
Demonstrate they can recruit a first group of Family Ambassadors and Families to do the program.
Submit a plan that summarizes local market information and details how they plan to grow the chapter.
Enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the national organization.
If a Chapter cannot meet growth requirements, the Chapter agrees to help find or partner with an organization that can properly grow the Chapter to serve all families in their community.
Indicate interest in starting a chapter when you Join the Movement and you will receive more detailed information on the next steps moving forward. Thank you!
